interesting boarding process

I flew northwest to fargo and never having flown nwa, I was a little amazed by their boarding policy:

1. elite members, people who need assistance, exit row passengers.

2. everyone else. together.

I usually fly american and am used to boarding by group.

I wonder which is quicker?
