Progress message of the day

My main workstation is running Vista and lately I've been having disk-related issues that I am having a hard time tracking down.
While copying one of the Microsoft CRM VM file sets to another computer this afternoon, I encountered the following message:

Hmm. I am not totally sure, but I would bet that waiting another 56 [...]

Overheard in the park today

this morning, as I was taking a walk in the park, I met a dog and their person who seemed to be having a bit of a disagreement about something.  Here is what I heard the woman tell the dog:
You had better buck up. It was your idea to go for a walk.

It's been a while since I posted anything of relevance so I wanted to say hi to everyone and let you know I'm still alive and kicking and to wish everyone a happy weekend.
I've been heads-down in about three separate CRM or CRM-related projects and haven't had time to write anything new - but I [...]

Keeping things in perspective

Consider this: when you think you have a bad day, I think you will find any bad day you may have is better than the alternative:

Another Professional First: MCT

This week I obtained my Microsoft Certified Trainer certification.  I plan to use it to teach some of the more developer-oriented Microsoft CRM courses such as Extending and Workflow.

Being the manly man I am, it looks like I can survive a 1 minute and 25 seconds.  Way longer than I thought I could.

I could survive for 1 minute, 25 seconds chained to a bunk bed with a velociraptor

interesting boarding process

I flew northwest to fargo and never having flown nwa, I was a little amazed by their boarding policy:
1. elite members, people who need assistance, exit row passengers.
2. everyone else. together.
I usually fly american and am used to boarding by group.
I wonder which is quicker?

Live from Fargo, ND

I'm in Fargo, North Dakota for half the week attending a class.  The weather is great here: Blue sky, gentle breeze, 70 degrees or so.
And not a hurricane in sight.  ;)
Peace out.

Coppell, Texas rarely see's a weather report that contains the words "tropical storm warning."  This weekend is just a bit different, as you can see below.  Meet the hurricane formerly known as Ike:

hurricane ike is here

we got all geared up for a major appearance by hurricane ike this weekend. luckily for the d/fw area, it slid further east so we're not being impacted as much as expected.
now my only problem is how i'm going to use the $200 worth of beans I bought. ;)
