Wow! Talk about gratuitous violence; Shoot 'Em Up certainly lives up to its title.  Shots being fired take up about half of the movie.  Luckily, the plot doesn't get in the way of the action.

Clive Owen makes a fairly respectable Good Guy with Monica Bellucci providing the Eye Candy.

I also noticed two things that I don't think have ever been covered in cinema before:

1) A love scene involving a fire fight.

2) A shoot-out in mid-air after the parties in question parachuted out from a perfectly good airplane.

Anyway, it's mindless entertainment and something to occupy your time should you get bored. Watch it at home on pay per view so you can fast forward through the talking parts and get back to seeing Clive shooting the bad guys.
