It's the simple things in life that just seem to piss me off

So I've been setting here all afternoon heads-down in a project when I finally realize that I'm "uncomfortable" and need to take a walk down the hall to use the facilities.

Like most restrooms, the one's here in my office have an automatic air-freshener that periodically dispenses odor-fighting smell-good stuff.

In the men's room at least, the device's placement is an issue.  It was installed by someone who was either short or lacked common sense.

I am 6'1" tall and this device is dead level with the middle of forehead – which in itself, isn't necessarily a bad thing.  The real problem lies with the fact that the device is placed about 12-14 inches from the centerline of the toilet.

So I'm standing there, doing my business, and this thing fires off a round of smell-good – about 2 inches from my ear – which ends up landing on my shoulder.

I am tired and really not in the mood for this kind of thing and such occurrences have a tendency to piss me off.

This is not the first time it's happened, and I know it won't be the last.  The only saving grace is the stuff it sprays doesn't last long so by the time I got back to my office, I no longer smelled "refreshed."
