Ross at AdvantageWorks has written a very cool article on using SoundEx and duplicate detection within CRM 4.0.

it's a bit sketchy in parts, especially step 4.
I would really have liked to see finished code to see exactly how it's done, instead of "do something like this [ommit large chunks]
